As a singer and Performance Coach, I have brought together these two areas to create highly exciting and motivating Creative Music Workshops.
Music is a creative and relaxing way to help build teams. The objective is to take individuals out of their normal environment and offer the opportunity to take part in a range of musical activities. The aim is to challenge individuals perceptions about their own ability to be creative. Also, to help raise their confidence and self-awareness, through participation in a range of fun and challenging activities.
The sessions are delivered in a non-judgemental and supportive environment, to ensure participants feel free from barriers created by others and themselves.
An Example of Possible Outcomes
- Increased self-awareness
- To achieve a sense of being brave, taking a risk
- Overcoming barriers and self-beliefs e.g. "I can't do that…" "I am tone deaf…" etc.
- A feeling of achievement
- Bonding and learning with other individuals in the group
- Increased ability to listen to others
- Encourage managers to consider how they can use creativity in their own role as coaches
- To look at how creative pursuits could play a positive role in their own life
- Practical tools such as breathing and voice warm-up as a stress release, or meeting preparation
- Increased awareness of positive posture and movement
- A feeling of discovery
Creative Music Workshops can be used at the end of a more formal business session or delivered as a dedicated workshop over a half day, day or more.
